Microsoft to Launch Virtualization Solutions, September 8, 2008

September 8th will be a pivotal point for Microsoft and core IT infrastructures worldwide. The company will officially launch its new line of virtualization solutions including Hyper-V, System Center Virtual Machine Manager (VMM) 2008 and Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Virtualization (MED-V). The launch day will be signaled by a full-day, multi-track event held Meydenbauer Center in Bellevue, WA. Localized events have not been announced.

Here’s the note from the product group regarding the launch:

Attend the launch event and find out how Windows Server 2008 with Hyper-V, Microsoft System Center – including Virtual Machine Manager 2008 and Microsoft Desktop and Application Virtualization allow you to virtualize from the data center to the desktop, and manage with the same tools you’re already using for your physical infrastructure.  For more information or to register, visit www.microsoft.com/virtualization .
