During my Virtual Machine Manager presentation at last month’s Southeast Management User Group meeting there was a question raised regarding the ability to move workloads between servers (Quick Migration) and how this would impact the "90-day reassignment" rule in most Microsoft server license agreements.
I wanted to share with you news that was just released today regarding this matter.
In short, Microsoft has updated license terms for 41 server-based products to allow for moving these services between servers in a farm.

In a related post by Diane Prescott, Product Manager, System Center, the company has also updated the licensing for the Server Management Suite Enterprise (SMSE) license, now including VMM 2008.
